Family Trip
I went to Austria with my family in the spring of 2008, when I was eight years old, and lived there for 2 and a half years. My parents, 6 of my nine siblings, and I had moved through Sicily, Northern Italy, and Croatia during the span of that year (you can see story of how we got there on my personal page), and eventually settled on the outskirts of Vienna, where my dad got a job as the care-taker of a baroque-style castle called Schloss Neuwaldegg. We lived simply, on very little money, while my siblings and I went to school in German in the city.
My experience in Vienna was less one of travel and more one of living in the culture itself. Basic facts and backgrounds
