Overall personal Experience
- Bimini and the Abacos are a very immersed Bahamian experience, though the hotels are not as integrated in the culture they are situated in the towns and since the towns are not very big you can walk and explore and find many cute small stores and meet nice people. The nature experience is very natural, you get to see a large variety of fish in beautiful coral reefs as well as other sea animals such as sharks, sting rays, dolphins, and sometimes even sea turtles. Because the water activities are in the wild it is not a guarantee although the guides try there best to go to spots where they are commonly found
- Atlantis used to be one of my favorite theme parks and I have been there many times, but over the years the resort has been losing its prestigious appearance and has began to become very run down. The staff has also gotten ruder and it is definitely not worth how expensive it is these days- I would recommend maybe going once with children but booking way ahead so it’s not so expensive
General Tips
- I would look into planning a lot of boat outings and snorkeling trips because that way you really get the fully immersive experience. If you just spend your time tanning or laying on the beach, though relaxing isn’t a bad activity, you won’t be able to appreciate all the bahamas has to offer.
- Bahamians are very lively people they are a big part of the experience because of their love to spread Caribbean music and making their favorite dishes
